Playposium FAQ

What is a Playposium?

The Professors at Play Playposium is an online networking, sharing and learning event all about play in higher education. Structured like many academic conferences, with a call for proposals and a day of presentations and activities. the Playposium is a little different. We encourage risk taking, joy, experimentation, and play!

How are we going to make higher ed a more playful place if we, as a collection of academics, can’t get together and have a little fun?

When is the Playposium?

The Professors at Play Virtual Playposium will be held Fri, Nov 6, 2020 8:00am – 4pm. MST.

Where will the Playposium be held?

The Professors at Play Virtual Playposium will be held online!

We will be using Zoom and will send out the link to access the event a little close to the date.

How much does does it cost?

The Playposium is free! Feel free to register here.

While we are offering an optional $10 sticker pack to go with your registration, you do not need to buy anything to play along.

How do I register?

Registration is easy and FREE. Just visit our registration page, fill out a few details and you are on the list. We will share the online link to the event a little closer to the event date.

I am not a professor in higher education. Can I still participate?

Absolutely! While the focus of the event is around people teaching in higher education, we are an inclusive community. If you want to play with us, please register.

What is the "sticker pack"?

How do you make an academic conference more fun? Stickers!

Since this is a free event, and we wanted to print stickers, we opted for the next best thing–an optional $10 sticker pack. When you register for the the event, you will have an option to buy the sticker pack. While this is totally optional, we are excited to share our one-of-a-kind  laptop and waterbottle stickers. Here’s a glimpse of what you might recieve!
